We met like so many couples do this day, on the worldwide web-specifically Match.com. Both of us had pretty much reached the end of their ropes when it came to putting up with the dating shenanigans of the modern world but were willing to give it one last shot. I messaged Scott with a question about a picture of him in Lederhosen at Oktoberfest, "where were his suspenders?" and the rest is history...well, almost. We agreed to meet September 27th at a place in Georgetown but when I arrived, it was incredibly loud and crowded so we headed to another place. Over really bad queso and a very attentive waiter, we sat and talked for a while and things were going well. However, behind me, an older gentleman was falling to the floor and Scott jumped up and immediately sprang into action. Watching Scott in work method pretty much sold it for me ;). It took a few months of seeing one another before I figured out that Scott actually liked me. I was convinced he didn't and very confused as to why he kept asking me out if he had no interest. Thankfully, I was very wrong and we are both very happy and ready to start the rest of our lives with one another.
