We met as many couples do these days - on a dating website (Match.com to be specific). After chatting for a few weeks, we decided to meet at Jake n JOES in Braintree for our first date to watch a Patriots game and share an appetizer or two. After the game, Sean asked I wanted to stay longer and have dinner. I paused for far too many seconds and then said "Sure.". I thought right then and there I ruined any chance of him being interested in me, but clearly that wasn't the case as you are on our wedding website reading how our love story started. Fast forward a few weeks and Sean came over to my condo for the first time. I warned him that Trevor isn't always a fan of new people, especially men, so to not be upset if he wanted nothing to do with him. Joke was on me, because Trevor decided to cuddle up on his lap and ask for pets. I remember telling my mom the next day and she asked me if Sean had snuck any treats in his pockets. The next time Sean came over and Trevor jumped to snuggle in his lap, I asked if he was hiding treats or catnip in his pockets. He just giggled and said no, but that he was a "Trevor whisperer". Trevor continues to love snuggles and pets from his dad, and demands treats as payment for his love. I knew pretty early on that Sean was the one. He has always been extremely thoughtful, like the time he invited me over for dinner (he made us tacos). He made sure to have a little side of sour cream because he knows I like sour cream with my tacos, and he can't stand the stuff. He has stood by my side and has been my biggest cheerleader with helping me overcome my ankle injuries - reminding me to do my PT exercises, ice, and go for walks to help me recover. He likes to bring home flowers to surprise me because he knows they put a smile on my face. He loves and accepts me for who I am, and I feel incredibly lucky to be chosen. Sean, if you ever read this, thank you for loving me and accepting me for everything I am. I would be lost without you, and I'm grateful for you everyday. I love you forever.
