Woojung and Sean met one faithful day at church. Funny enough Woojung decided to ghost her chapel duties while she was in Korea and was forced to go to church while in America. (As well all know Sean would never ghost any classes.) However thankfully because of this they met at church due to Sean's father immediately calling Sean and telling him to come talk to this new girl from Korea. Conversations involving very un-church like things such as enjoyment of drinking, eating unhealthy foods, and anime were discussed at length. Sean quickly was infatuated and decided to pursue the relationship. We went on a trip to the Renaissance fair followed by watching IT. It was a dumb idea to watch IT. Sean tricked Woojung into a date due to Woojung's kindness. Sean paid for her while they were at the Renaissance fair and Woojung felt bad and wanted to pay him back. Sean said basically this. If you pay for the dinner it's a date. If I pay we can be friends. Funny enough Woojung responded with "You never even asked if I'm single." Whoops. Turns out however Woojung basically was broken up with her past boyfriend and was ready to try out an American boy. We went on many different dates from going to Cherry Springs to see the stars and the Milky Way, going apple picking, carving pumpkins, watching the Eagles win a superbowl, skiing, going to Washington D.C. to see the cherry blossoms, or even just having conversations in the car until past midnight just having fun sharing music tastes and learning about each other. It was the honeymoon phase of our relationship. Soon Woojung had to leave for Korea after her study abroad journey in America ended. The hardest yet most strengthening time of our relationship began. A long distance relationship over a 1000 miles across the world. We both had no idea if we would last, or how we would get through it. To be honest there were a lot of ups and downs, but we would now say those times would make us stronger as a couple. Fast forward to 2019. It's our two year anniversary and COVID is just about to start. We decided that year to in fact tie the knot on paper. No big proposal but just decided that we couldn't stand long distance anymore. If anything is a theme of our relationship it's timing. Things seemed to work-out with amazing timing. Whether it be a storm right as we're leaving Niagara falls, Sean serenading Woojung in the car and during the peak of the song fireworks going off in the night sky while driving, or finally that we decided to get our marriage certificates right before Korea went on lockdown. We're so grateful for all of you who are invited. You all have been a part of our relationship and growth and it would mean the world to us if you all could make it and celebrate our love together in a far away land. Thank you and we hope to see you all in Korea!
