Panama uses US currency. It is a 1:1 conversion. However, if using cash you may get the Balboa currencies most seen in the coins. Make sure to use those in Panama first as the US does not accept them. There is the Panama $1 coin (Martinelli) same size as a quarter. Balboas can also be seen in the quarters and dimes.
