What is the best way to get around the city?
Answer
You can rent a car in Panama if you would like to freely get around. Panama drives on the right hand side. If you don't prefer to drive, Uber is a great option to get around too. The Uber application is the same as the one as the United States and is more affordable than getting a taxi.

How is the traffic in Panama? Whats the best navigation app to use?
Answer
On weekends the traffic is normal. However on weekdays (Mon-Fri) during rush hour, there will be really heavy traffic. Rush Hour is normally from 7:30 am - 10:00 am and 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm. So plan ahead. Both Google Maps and Waze are used in panama. The suggested app is Waze.

Do I need to speak Spanish?
Answer
No. It's not required. In most tourist areas (like where you're staying) they have English-speaking agents ready, willing and waiting to assist. If not, Google Translator App is your new best friend.

What currency is used in Panama?
Answer
Panama uses US currency. It is a 1:1 conversion. However, if using cash you may get the Balboa currencies most seen in the coins. Make sure to use those in Panama first as the US does not accept them. There is the Panama $1 coin (Martinelli) same size as a quarter. Balboas can also be seen in the quarters and dimes.

Is tipping required in Panama?
Answer
No. However most waiters and waitresses will ask you about tip when paying. 10% tip is more than sufficient.
