Yes! For the ceremony at John Carroll University, park in the Boler Lot (you can type 'Boler College of Business' into Google Maps) or the Carroll Expansion Lot, both off Carroll Boulevard. From there, take a short walk through the Quad on your right to get to St. Francis Chapel. We've linked a JCU campus map on the 'Hotels' page for reference. For the party at Forest City, a parking lot is available for our use one block down at St. Wendelin Church (2281 Columbus Road). Free street parking is also available.
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses and dressy jumpsuits, and suits or dark jackets and slacks.
Arrive starting at 5:30 for drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the FCB tap room. The doors to the Waldorf beer hall will open at 6 to greet the new Freemans as the band gets started. We'll have our first dance around 6:50 and stations will open shortly after with food from Ninja City. We won't be assigning seats or formally dismissing guests for dinner. Please help yourself to food stations until 8:30 and sit, stand or bop around where and when you want - the whole venue is ours. Dance and enjoy the band until 9, when we'll pause for cake and desserts. After that, get back to the dance floor. We'll end the night at 11.
Yes! Our wedding will be catered by local restaurant, Ninja City - self-described as "urban Asian cuisine." There won't be any Tuscan chicken and roasted potatoes, but there will be vegetarian and gluten-free options. Food will be served in stations, so take what you want to try and leave what you don't.
Velvet Tango Room opens for cocktails at 5pm and is a 1-minute walk from Forest City Brewery. Porco (a tiki bar) will be open and is a 9-minute walk. And - fingers crossed - a new cocktail bar called Flower is supposed to open across the street from FCB (in the old Duck Island Club) in January.
At 11, we're heading to Hooples, a 6-minute walk down the road or a 1-minute Uber. It's a dive, and we're ordering pizza. Let's keep hanging out?
Children are welcome at the 3pm ceremony at St. Francis Chapel. Our reception at Forest City Brewery is an adults-only event.
We don't have one. We're grateful for your cards at the reception or in the mail, but happy enough if you can just join us February 15.
