Written by Sam (supervised by Sean): Our love story started in an old-fashioned way, with two friends falling in love. We met in 2014 when I started working at Joni's Diner in Lake Geneva, Sean's family restaurant. Sean and I became friends quickly (I secretly had a crush on him), and I enjoyed seeing him every time I worked. I worked at Joni's Diner every weekend throughout high school and college, so I saw Sean frequently. In 2018, I asked Sean if he wanted to walk on the lake path (yes, I asked him), and he said yes. Since then, we were inseparable. We enjoyed spending time together, laughing, eating new foods, watching movies and shows, attending concerts, and much more. Our relationship grew stronger when we moved in together in 2019 in Lake Geneva. We lived in a 1 bedroom, 500 sq ft apartment while I was attending nursing school. If we can do that, we can do anything! I knew right away that living with Sean was so much fun. We started to explore Lake Geneva, found our favorite restaurant (Flat Iron Tap), and took walks on the Lake Path. For my 21st birthday in 2019, Sean planned a surprise trip for me to see Niagara Falls. After that, I knew he might be the one. In 2021, we decided to get a Goldendoodle. Yes, in our 500 sq ft apartment while I was in nursing school. Initially, we were a little nervous, but we wanted to add a little extra fun to our lives. We named her Ivy, and little did we know she was the best thing to ever happen to us. In March 2022, we moved out of our 500 sq ft apartment in Lake Geneva and moved to Twin Lakes, where we live now. Ivy loves playing in our backyard and swimming in the lake. Sean loves animals, so he decided to build a chicken coop, and shortly after, we got 13 chickens! Sean and I have grown so much along the way. Sean started his own property management company and fell in love with real estate. If you know Sean, he loves to work. Seeing how far he has come over the years has been a pleasure. I finally graduated nursing school in 2022 and became an ER nurse! I couldn't have done it without the support from Sean. In January 2023, I planned a skiing trip to Colorado for Sean's Christmas present. Sean loves to snowboard, and I have never been to Colorado before. I was so excited about this trip, and little did I know I would come home engaged! Especially because I planned it!! Sean proposed to me on the very top of the mountain at Yale, Colorado. It was the most beautiful view I had ever seen. Sean said he was trying to take a picture at the top, and we were smiling for a photo when he got down on one knee. Of course, I said yes! I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the trip. Now we get to plan the most awesome wedding! Since then, we have another member to our little family, a German Shepherd named Astro. He is the sweetest, calmest dog I have ever seen. Don't worry—you will see Ivy and Astro on our wedding day, and they will walk down the aisle (sorry no chickens). All the photos you see on our website are the engagement photos we took on Lake 22 Trail at Mt. Rainier, Washington, in June 2024 by Greene Team Media. We hiked about 3 miles uphill with our dress clothes in backpacks to get to this spot. We changed in the woods once we got up there; it was crazy! It was so worth it, as you can see by the photos! Some photos were taken by their drone, which was spectacular to see the entire landscape. We are teeny tiny in some of the photos. You can see the love between us and tell we love laughing together. We can't wait to see our most important family and friends on our wedding day. Family means so much to us (and we have many of them). Get ready to laugh, cry, eat, and dance! We love you all!
