We first met in college through a group of close friends. As we hung out, did homework together, and shared what God was doing in our lives, we got to know each other and became friends. Raquel initially thought nothing of it. Sean on the other hand, began subtly offering to help Raquel study Greek so they could spend more time together. We realized we not only loved studying languages, but we both had a lot in common and could confide in one another easily. Although at the time Raquel had no intentions of dating, Sean still mustered up the courage to ask her out, and afterwards asked her if she would like to pursue a more serious relationship. Many conversations later, we finally started dating at the beginning of the fall semester 2021. It’s been a crazy journey since then, but we praise God for his incredible mercy and grace in our lives and for the love and support of those around us. We got engaged on January 6, 2023, at Sean’s home. We can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family.
