We realize this is a large ordeal for many of you, so here are some suggestions to get you started. For those of you flying from international destinations, we suggest that you fly into London Heathrow (LHR) and arrive by Friday morning to give yourselves some time to rest and overcome Jet lag before the wedding festivities.
You can take an express train from LHR to Paddington Station via the Heathrow Express (25 pounds) or the Tube (6 pounds). From Paddington, you can take a direct train to Bristol which should take about 2 hours. Thornbury is about 20 minutes from downtown Bristol.
There is also a bus that leaves directly from Heathrow and goes directly to Bristol using the National Express. It's more economical and take less time than the two train trips. Although it won't be a scenic train ride.
Of course, if you would like to brave the English roads, you can easily rent a car from Hertz or Avis, etc. Just remember, the other drivers are doing everything backwards.

This hotel is only 2 miles from Thornbury Castle, so only a short cab ride away. We have negotiated a rate of £115 for Friday & Saturday night, and £105 for Sunday night. Just mention our wedding when you call or email them. Make sure to take a look at Hotels.com or other before booking, you may get the same rate in US$!
