Do I need a ticket to enter the Renaissance Festival?

Answer

Yes! Prior to the wedding, we will be providing everyone who RSVPs with tickets to enter and enjoy the Faire using the email address or phone number you provided. Please do not alter or crop your tickets if you decide to print them! You must present the entire page. Presenting the ticket from your phone also works perfectly fine! Festival hours are 10am until 6pm.

Question

What is the Renaissance Festival?

Answer

The Renaissance Festival is a medieval outdoor amusement park, a 16-stage theatre, an arts and crafts fair, a petting-zoo, a Jousting Tournament, and a feast, all rolled into one non-stop, day-long, family adventure. The Arizona Renaissance Festival is one of the most interactive entertainment shows ever created with wonderful amusements and antics going on all around you! Enjoy non-stop entertainment presented on the 16 different stages, each show packed with a unique mix of comedy, music and mischievous antics. Circus performers, jousting knights on horseback, and so much more! Sit back and relax, or become a part of the action as you are surrounded by costumed characters roaming the festival village. Enjoy swordplay, wordplay, raucous music and roaring comedy at the Open Air Royal Faire! The Village Marketplace features over 200 artisans displaying a variety of unique, handmade wares. Watch as the ancient skills of glassblowing, leatherwork, weaving, woodcarving, blacksmithing, candle-making and pottery are displayed! Wooden (and real!) swords and shields, pewter goblets, scented candles, handmade soaps, exotic oils, carved furniture, copper fountains and sculptures, pillows and tapestries, a wide variety of clothing...the list is endless! Test your abilities at the Festival's many games: target-shooting with bow or crossbow, storming the castle in a paintball battle, or throwing a tomato at an insulting peasant at Vegetable Justice. For those patrons in the mood for an extreme challenge, you can test your physical mettle at the Climbing Tower or show your warrior side throwing a battle axe. Rides for children of all ages! Soar into the sky on the Assault Catapult, ride The Piccolo Pony - the world's largest rocking horse, take a spin on Da Vinci's Flying Machine or sail the high seas on the Voyage to the New World. The Festival's unique "people-powered" rides provide merriment for the entire family!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

While costumes aren’t required, they are definitely encouraged! We would LOVE to see your inner bard, fairy, knight, or rogue SHINE ✨ Cloaks, corsets, flower crowns, and tunics welcome- and you can also shop at the faire for accessories and other clothing items prior to our Wedding Ceremony. Come dressed for magic, merriment, and a celebration fit for a kingdom! The Festival is an outdoor family friendly event. We suggest you dress for the day’s weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and don't forget the sunscreen. Phoenix in February typically ranges from the mid-60's to mid-70's, so layering is a great option! Costume rentals are available as well at the Belrose Costume Shop located behind the box office prior to entrance to the Festival. Prices vary based upon costume choice. Adult costume rental prices range from $35 to $65 and child costume rental prices range from $15 to $25. Please Note: Costume prop swords/daggers and non-functioning prop weapons are permitted as long as they are properly sheathed, peace tied by our safety services personnel at the main entrance, and remain sheathed during your Festival visit.
