What is the dress code?

Answer

Black-Tie (optional, but encouraged!). Weddings are a fun opportunity to dress up and look your best! Ladies think midi or floor length dresses and Men a tuxedo or a dark suit with tie. We do encourage women to wear a block heel as our ceremony will be on the grass.

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are children welcome?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and include the names of the children who are invited. We encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please visit our travel page for recommended hotels. Additionally, there are many Airbnb's in the area. If you are looking to stay at a Airbnb, please check the proximity to the venue as many of the Airbnbs are located near the ski resorts and there will be no transportation available.

Where do I park?

Answer

Our venue has free on-site parking if you would like to drive. We will also be providing transportation from nearby hotels. There are no Uber/Lyfts in the area so please plan your transportation accordingly!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5pm. As Hildene is still open to the public until 4:30pm, we recommend arriving no earlier than that time and no later than 10 minutes prior to the ceremony starting.

Is the Wedding Indoor or Outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside with the reception being held inside Lincoln Hall.
