After the seed being planted of never getting married, the stage was set. While on vacation in Playa Del Carmen celebrating Marla's cousins 40th birthday, someone had a great idea to propose in front of all the friends and family in attendance. So, he enlisted the cousin and others to plan an impromptu cocktail party after a day of snorkeling in Cozumel. Little did he know that she would make him wait while she checked work emails. As the tension grew so did the anticipation of what she might say. We walked into the house where everyone was and proceeded to have a glass of wine. All of a sudden, in the middle of a sip of wine, he dropped to his knee and she said" What did you drop?" He said " Ever since the date when you had marinara in your hair, I knew there was a spark". He then popped the question and got" Are you for real?" and an "Of course". The crowd went wild and the water works started flowing as well as the champagne.
