Yes! It will depart from and return to the Holiday Inn Express in Wixom. The shuttle will leave for the ceremony promptly at 3:50pm and will leave for the hotel after the event at 11pm. Please don't drink and drive! If you find that you've drank more than you intended after driving yourself to the event, you can still take the shuttle or call a cab and pick your car up from Lazy J Ranch the next day.
We hope to start at 4:30pm sharp, but the venue does not allow guests to arrive more than half an hour before the ceremony is scheduled to begin. Please plan to arrive before 4:20pm to make sure you have enough time to grab a beverage and find your seats before the ceremony.
Yes! There is parking for approximately 150 vehicles at Lazy J Ranch. If you accidentally find yourself too intoxicated to drive back to your home/hotel for the night, we do have permission from the venue to leave vehicles overnight and retrieve them the next morning.
We're shooting for garden attire--think cocktail attire where brighter colors are welcome. There is pavement throughout the grounds, but the ceremony will take place on the grass and there will be lawn games during the reception (weather permitting). Make sure you bring some shoes that can handle the soft ground!

Unfortunately, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to change locations for our vow renewal, and our new venue has a lower maximum capacity for the banquet area. Due to the smaller space, rather than uninvite entire parties, we are excluding those under the age of 21 from our festivities. We know this may complicate travel plans for many of you. If you are unable to travel or attend our event without your children, we completely understand, and we apologize for the inconvenience due to this change in circumstance. We did not make this decision lightly and truly believed it to be the best choice available given the circumstances.
We understand that dates are a standard courtesy in modern weddings. We have given "plus ones" to everyone we know of that is in a committed relationship, but we have not offered open guest spaces. This choice was made strictly to coincide with our goal of reducing the size of the event to accommodate the smaller reception space. If you have a committed partner that we are unaware of, if you require an additional guest for accessibility reasons, or if you are concerned about your ability to enjoy the event without a particular guest, please reach out to the bride or groom directly so we can assist. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
All activities for the event will take place either outside or in a barn with open doors and free airflow. Obviously we do not want anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or direct exposure within the last 5 days to attend the event, and we will not be at all upset if you have to cancel last minute for this reason--we understand that, while our vow renewal is important to us, the pandemic does could care less! We will provide hand sanitizer and masks throughout the venue space for anyone who wants them, and the venue itself allows for good and consistent airflow throughout the event spaces. If you would like to look at pictures of the venue to get a better idea of the size and airflow of the space, they can be found at the following link: https://www.lazyjranchmilford.com/venues.html If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the bride or groom directly.
We are not requiring that our guests be vaccinated. However, we ask that you not attend if you have known exposure within five days of the event or if you are feeling sick. While we cannot require or enforce it, we also ask that you consider doing a PCR or a rapid test in the few days before the event. We are able to assist anyone who needs help getting a test or finding a testing location in the area. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact the bride or groom directly.
We have reserved a room block and shuttle services at the Holiday Inn Express in Wixom. If you choose to find different accommodations, you will likely have the best luck looking in the Wixom/Novi area, as Milford Memories draws artists from all over Michigan and hotels in Brighton are filling quickly.
