We met at a mutual friend's going away party. Our friend, Richard, had previously told Sean about me and said we would click. So, Sean was already excited to meet me when Richard introduced us. After that night, Sean visited me at work multiple times a week just to see me. Over time, we continued to talk and Sean eventually asked me out for a date.
Sean picked me up and we went to Fat Sal's in LA for sandwiches. After eating, we headed over to Santa Monica and sat on the beach for hours. The conversation flowed the entire time. After this first date, we just knew we wanted to pursue each other. After a couple of weeks of dating, Sean asked me to be his official girlfriend on November 11, 2018.
Sean and I were celebrating our two-year anniversary in Newport. He planned a whole day of activities, all of which did not happen because of a storm. Despite the chaos, we had a fun day at the park, strolling around cute beachy neighborhoods, and exploring Balboa Island. Little did I know, his sister had been following us the entire day with a camera. We were taking a walk along the beach when he dropped down on one knee. I was shocked and ecstatic. Obviously, I said yes. Sean had set up a family zoom afterward, so I could celebrate with my family from afar. Then, he surprised me with his family and our friends at one of our new favorite Newport restaurants.
