We met in 2018 when we started working for the Folsom, CA REI. We quickly became friends and frequented the climbing gym every week. When Maggie announced she was leaving for Western Washington University, Sean expressed interest in WWU and stated he always wanted to return to Washington State (what a coincidence!). We moved up . . . and here we are!

Over the summer of 2022, we set out to hike the John Muir Trail (JMT). While on the trail, we hiked to the summit of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the contiguous United States. Sean popped the question after days of hiding the ring in various pieces of folded clothes and bandanas in his backpack so Maggie wouldn't find it!
