What should I wear?
Answer
Please wear cocktail attire. No jeans. Our Ceremony will take place in a climate-controlled barn. Our Reception will take place in an open-air horse stable without climate control. **There are many areas of uneven ground including grass, gravel, and uneven wooden boards. Please be mindful of the shoes you wear! We don't recommend wearing stilettos or any sort of skinny heel!**

Who is invited to the Wedding?
Answer
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests who are not on our guest list and accounted for. Your invitation envelope and website RSVP will note if you have a plus one. We LOVE all your kiddos! However, we want you to enjoy a parents night off to celebrate with us stress free! We understand this can be challenging, but we respectfully request you leave the little ones at home (with a sitter of course)!

Latvian Traditions
Answer
As many of you know, Larisa is very passionate about her Latvian Culture and Heritage. During the reception we will be sharing some Latvian Wedding Traditions including "Mičosana" a celebration of the Bride and Groom transitioning to a married couple; as well as “Stealing of the Bride.” Parts of the ceremonies will be held in the Latvian language including a few folk songs. Whether you are Latvian or not, we invite you to be an active participant during the traditions - even if you don't speak the language feel free to hum along to the tunes! We will have English translations and explanations of the traditions available on your table. We will also be serving a few traditional Latvian treats including "Pīragi" (onion and bacon perogies) as one of the appetizers, a "Kliņģers" (yellow bread), and "Aboļu Kūka" (apple bread) as part of the dessert table! Enjoy!

Did you say Line Dancing!?
Answer
Make sure you wear your dancing shoes! We will be sharing our love for line dancing with all of you throughout the night! This will include the couple's favorite line dances, party favorites, and some Latvian Folk/Line Dances. Never line danced before!? Don't worry - follow Sean or Larisa! We picked simple line dances for everyone to try!

Where do I park?
Answer
Follow signs for venue general parking when you arrive. The parking lot is a grassy lot that is a short walk to the venue down a slight decline (there are wide, small heighted steps with railing and lights for your safety). Please plan accordingly your timing! If you require handicap parking, please reach out to Larisa or Sean privately to discuss more details. We will be offering a golf cart shuttle for those who have mobility impairments.

Is there a Shuttle from the Hotels to the Farm?
Answer
Unfortunately, no :( However, Lyft and Uber both service the area and will pick up/drop off at the venue. If you choose to drive but end up enjoying our wedding so much you do not feel comfortable driving home - please don't. The Farm at Harvest Hills allows guests to leave their cars overnight so everyone stays safe! But please pick up your cars 9 AM Sunday Morning!

Is Larisa taking Sean's last name?
Answer
Larisa will be hyphenating her last name. She will remain "Grants" in her professional world and will use "Bates" socially.
