We're GETTING MARRIED!

We met on August 1, 2010, yes, almost a decade ago. It was my best friend (and one of my bridesmaids), Rachel's 18th birthday. We were all hanging out at mutual friend's house in Woodinville and instantly hit it off. At the end of the night, Sean asked me for my number just as Rachel and I started pulling out of the driveway... he almost missed his chance ;) We started hanging out daily and Sean even came to my 18th birthday party a few weeks later. As September quickly approached, I was heading to college at the University of Oregon and Sean had one more year left of High School. We decided to give the distance a shot. I didn't have a car my freshman year so I would either take the train or ask friends for rides with them back up North so we could see each other. After my freshman year, I transferred to Oregon State University to run Track and XC and Sean started his Freshman year at Edmonds CC to play baseball. We continued our distance relationship, which posed to be even harder now that we were both collegiate athletes. Halfway through Sean's sophomore year he moved back to Texas to be with his family and in the fall attend LeTourneau University to play baseball. I remember the first time I visited Texas and boy, was it an experience (I had visited Texas when I was a kid but had no memory of it). We can fast-forward through the rest of college and the first couple of years after. In 2016, I made the move to Texas. After Sean graduated he started working in Beaumont and I took a job in Austin. We were only 3.5 hours apart, which was much better than a plane ride! After 3 years in Austin and Beaumont, we decided it was time to find our home, and that would be Houston. Before we both moved we took a trip to Italy. On the night of May 20, overlooking the Amalfi Coastline in the town of Positano, Sean asked me to marry him. On July 11, 2020, in the town of Leavenworth, where Sean and my family would often spend the holidays, we will become husband and wife!
