What is the dress code?

Semi-Formal/Dressy-Casual.... WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?! Listen, we're getting married at a kids camp. When we met, we were wearing gym shorts and cotton t-shirts. We strongly encourage you to dress your best, but also want to make sure you're comfortable to be on the dance floor all night long :)

What is Camp Laughing Loon like?

Answer

Imagine... rustic, woodsy, summer camp setting on a lake. Please use this information to dress accordingly. There will be some grassy areas, as well as stone/rocks on the waterfront where the ceremony will be taking place.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:15PM. We ask that you arrive by 3:30 (and no later than 4) to allow time for parking, grabbing a beverage, chatting with friends and getting settled in your seat. If you arrive after the ceremony begins, you may be asked to wait until the ceremony has completed to join in on the celebration. We know Keara is always late, but we hope to stay on schedule!!

How do I get to the venue and what is the parking situation?

Answer

Camp Laughing Loon is located at 52 Laughing Loon Ln. in East Waterboro. The easiest landmark is Lakeside Market, which is located right next to Laughing Loon Lane. Although the road is named after the camp, there are other private homes on this road. Please take note of the speed limit and be sure not to obstruct the road when parking. There is a large field for parking that will be clearly marked on the day of. Please be mindful of others as you park to not block anyone in. We will not have a parking attendant the day of.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It's Maine in July.... unpredictable. We are getting married lake-side. Plan to wear something that is comfortable in case of humidity/high heat. We truly won't know what the weather will be like until the week/day of.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Please let our lovely photographer Katie be the one to take photos during our ceremony. Following the ceremony, feel free to snap all the pictures and videos your heart desires - and be sure to share, we love candids!

Can we bring our child/ren?

Answer

We love kids, heck we're getting married at kids camp! However, this is an adult only event. The only children at the wedding will be those included in our wedding ceremony. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation with this matter.

The most important question.... what type of food and/or drink will be served?

Answer

There will be hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, with a buffet to follow for dinner service, and late night snacks to fuel us for the evening of dancing. Please be sure to let us know if you have a specific dietary restriction or allergy so we can be sure to accommodate. It will be an open bar, please act and drink responsibly (and be sure to tip your bartenders!!). We want to be sure everyone makes it home safely.

We will be ending the reception promptly by 11PM.
