WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Many of you may know how we met, but some might not know how a Georgia girl and Minnesota man crossed paths. Every winter Sean, his dad, and his brothers would go on a cruise to help break up the winter. KC and her family would go on a New Years Eve cruise every year, but due to KC having a new job that didn’t allow for that time off, they pushed it back a week. We both ended up being on the same cruise that year. Sean noticed KC the first day dancing with her cousin by the pool, but didn’t approach her. It was the second night and it was formal night. Everyone was dressed up and in walks Sean and his brother Tyler in their Minnesota Vikings attire. Now knowing Sean, this totally makes sense! KC noticed him when they walked in and approached him saying that she wanted to introduce him to her cousin. We all chatted and throughout the night Sean and KC continued talking. This was night two of an eight day cruise. We were able to hangout and get to know each other throughout the cruise before it was time to go our separate ways. We stayed in touch and KC was able to pick up trips that had layovers in Minneapolis. This was how our relationship went for the first two years. KC’s job allowed for her to easily transfer bases and she moved to Minnesota in January 2018.

Sean had asked KC if she wanted to have a day date like they had been doing the past few months here and there. Not thinking twice about it, KC said yes. He planned to go to lunch and then go to Minnehaha Falls. We went to get lunch and it was a beautiful day out. After lunch, KC asked Sean if he still wanted to go to the falls and he said he did. KC still thought nothing of it and they continued the date. On the way to Minnehaha Falls, it started to rain. We caught a break and went to grab a beer under the pavilion. It started down pouring, so we just sat down and enjoyed our drinks. The rain started to let up and then the whole University of Minnesota football team showed up. They were everywhere. Sean secretly was panicking knowing he didn’t want that many people around when he proposed. We started making our way down to the falls and as we were going down the football players started leaving. We got down to the falls and made our way past the fence that was supposed to keep us out from where we wanted to go. KC lead the way and still had no idea what was about to happen. We stood at the foot of the falls and took pictures. KC focused on taking pictures while Sean grabbed the ring out of his pocket. Sean grabbed KC’s hand and began to propose. Sean got down on one knee and proceeded to ask KC to marry him. She obviously said YES! We turned around to see that Kenzie and Tonyea were there to capture this special moment. Sean had arranged for his cousin Kenzie to be there to take pictures of the proposal.

With both of us loving to travel, we thought it would be fun to have a destination wedding. We met on vacation in the Caribbean and love to travel to warm tropical places. We talked about getting married in the Caribbean, but we visited Cabo San Lucas in January 2021 and fell in love with it. With family and friends mostly in Georgia and Minnesota, we thought choosing a central location would be a great way to bring everyone together. We thought this would be a fun way to not only celebrate with us but also enjoy a vacation of your own. We really hope to see everyone in Cabo, but we completely understand if this isn't the best timing for you.
