Some of the best things in life happen when you least expect them, and for us, that's exactly how it went. We found each other online (yes, really, and honestly, we're just happy to have found each other), and what started as a simple conversation quickly turned into something neither of us saw coming. At the time, Katie was in Poquoson and Sean was in Virginia Beach, separated by about an hour and a tunnel. It wasn't always easy, but we made it work, putting in the time and effort to see each other as much as we could because, well, it was worth it. Eventually Sean packed up and made the move to Poquoson, officially becoming a "move-in." Over the past almost four years, life has been a whirlwind in the best possible way. We've explored the world together, been to some incredible concerts, and spent more Sundays than we can count watching Commanders football through the highs, the lows, and everything in between, with Katie somehow always there for it. We've also watched the people we love most start their own beautiful chapters, weddings, babies, and everything in between. It's the kind of full, joyful life that somehow manages to fly by and feel timeless all at once. And then came the moment that made it all official. On a cabin getaway with our dog Ivy by our side, Sean somehow held it together long enough, nerves and all, to get down on one knee mid-hike and ask Katie to marry him. She said yes. Ivy was unimpressed, but we think she's come around. We are so grateful for every trip, every memory, every laugh, and every single person who has been part of our journey. You've shaped who we are together, and we truly can't thank you enough. But the best part? We're just getting started. We can't wait for what's ahead, and we're so glad you'll be there to celebrate with us. — Katie & Sean
