Best Man

This guy. He and I go way back, from middle school, leading into our regular high school lives, onwards past college, and now into our presumed adult livelihood. As blunt as he can be, he's the kind of honest person you need to have a proper perspective. That being said, we still have our shared interests and that hasn't changed for many, many years. He's overall one of the most reliable person I know. He is the kind of person who will add color to your life, even if colors may not be his strongest suit (hehe).

Maid of Honor

I met this random Michigander during medical school but she really is Californian at heart. Mama to all the Labubus, she’s also going to be a “boob” doctor (breast surgeon, that was my attempt at a pun haha •_•). But really I’m so proud of her. Mulin is super driven, outspoken, intelligent, and inspires me to be more assertive (“You gotta have thick skin like a chicken. Just let it all roll off the slippery skin”). I’m thrilled to have her as my Maid of Honor (she really has a way with words, trust me). She’s always been there for me through the dark days of medical training (IYKYK) and when we welcomed Baby Warren. Thank you.

You never know when some anime or show is "peak" or if your "waifus" are now considered "mid" until Thanh hits you with the "skibidi rizz" with his "aura" (I'm so sorry). That being said, when it comes to pop culture or music, sometimes having a refreshing take (or a take that aligns with ours) can make for really good conversations. He also takes being efficient pretty seriously, especially his work ethic and learning Japanese. He'll also likely be the one asking around for Lactaid pills.

You ever walk into Homegoods and you find the most beautiful strawberry printed bath mats and you get some for yourself, only to find out that Jenn already has a very similar rug. Basically what I’m trying to say is that we share the same brain cell in terms of decor and interests. Jenn is much much more creative than I will ever be though. She currently works for Square Enix (yeah, THAT Square Enix!) and is Mama to baby Isaac. She always knows how to bring people together with her infectious charm and warm heart.

I wish I had Rich's enthusiasm when it comes to any sort of fandom. Seriously. Rich has always shown great interests in the things he enjoys, whether it's about music, Disney, games, or even general stuff. Had I known Rich earlier in the college days along with Katie, there would've been so many events I would've enjoyed with him, and then be able to talk about it for days.

I’ve known Linda for so long. We used to have college adventures together when we were still bright-eyed and bushy tailed. Always a kid at heart, you can find Linda and me at Disneyland trying on Mickey Mouse ears or buying Winnie the Poohs. Now we are Mamas and we buy random stuff on Amazon for our kiddos. We have experienced some very transformative life events together, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for her strength and resilience. Keep shining bright for me!

I consider Kevin as a cool, good looking, heads-up kind of guy amongst my friends. Most of the time, we have a lot of fun in group settings, kicking back and just enjoying the company. Few other times, I know Kevin to be the kind of person to look out for the others, making sure that the time spent was enjoyable (and their drinks topped off).

Cathy is one of my oldest friends. We were in 7th grade together before we both moved to different cities. We were reunited in college and tolerated four years together with each other. Known for being super hipster, she’s just overall a very cool person to hang out with and she is an amazing chef. She actually runs a home bakery service now, isn’t that awesome?! Best jalapeño sourdough I’ve ever had. Try some of her baked goods at our dessert table during the reception :)

Matt is of course Katie's brother, and definitely Nathan's favorite uncle. Funny story: there was some skepticism about how Nathan and Matt would interact with each other, Nathan being timid at first and Matt being aloof. It turns out, these two are just dorky with each other, and we appreciate that Nathan has the kind of uncle who, for the most part, doesn't hold back when it comes to making big laughs go around.

Monica is the older sister I never had, so wise and kind and gentle and supportive, I want to be like Monica when I grow up. We always love spending time with the Lees, little Leona and Emery will be the flower girls. Monica also introduced me to Bluey and that was life changing. She’s also a badass veterinarian who does emergency surgeries on the regular. She actually knows the dog breeds in Bluey and teaches me about them (crazy!).

I wouldn't consider Adrian a class clown, but amongst my friends I believe him to be the funniest of them all. There hasn't been a time where things didn't go down as unenjoyable or unfunny; all the moments with him have been laughs and chill vibes. He's a very meme-able person, and if you think I'm lying, just pay attention to him from time to time. You might mistake him as a living embodiment of Spongebob.

The youngest of Sean’s family, and Nathan’s “favorite” auntie ;) (he’s actually scared of her, not sure why), Kayla knows how to bring the party. She’s always traveling the world and hiking somewhere adventurous. Ask her how many national parks and countries she has been to! Super generous and extraverted and kind, maybe Nathan got some of his “main character energy” from her.
