Our biggest adventure awaits!

Sean and Katie met at a graduation party for a mutual friend. Katie was explaining how to make homemade peanut butter to other attendees, while Sean was simultaneously drinking a dark chocolate and peanut butter porter. Of course, Katie's brief demo piqued Sean's interest and, unbeknownst to them, many jars of gourmet peanut butter would be exchanged and shared for the next 6 years.

After years of Sean trekking back and forth between Baltimore and Cincinnati while Katie was in graduate school, the two were finally able to be in the same geographic location. They relocated jointly to North Carolina where they would be equally situated between the mountains and the beach, which meant ample opportunity to soak in the outdoors. Sean and Katie would spend the next couple of years hiking nearby trails on the weekend, backpacking, and camping. So, it should be no surprise to anyone that their proposal took place on a trail. Accompanied by two close friends and their aussiedoodle, Arlo, Sean proposed at the top of Pilot Mountain at their favorite picnic & break spot. She said yes, Arlo wagged his tail, and the group finished their hike with newfound excitement!
