WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

So here is our story, well the highlights at least! We met May 2015 in college, the night before my 20th birthday. His fraternity was having a semi-formal & my sorority sisters convinced me to go since they were all going & didn't want me to spend the night before my birthday alone. So I went without knowing any of the brothers & I met Sean. I knew when I met him that there was something special about him & I needed to know him more. A week or so later we went on our first date (mini-golf... classic!). On the Fourth of July that same year, he invited me to his mom (Kathy) & step-dad’s (Steve) house since they host a big party, little did I realize his whole family was going to be there (close & extended!). That weekend he asked me officially to be his girlfriend while we were sitting on West Beach underneath the fireworks. Fast forward to May 2021, we decided to take a trip to Nantucket. The week before the trip, Kathy asked me to go get my nails done with her. Kathy & Steve were also going to Nantucket since they have family on Nantucket & visit often, so I didn't think much of it. She ended up paying for mine & said it was an "early birthday present", this was in early May & my birthday isn't until May 31st... so I felt like something was up but didn't say anything. The first day on Nantucket we were at the hotel, having some drinks on the lawn that overlooked the harbor & I couldn't keep my thoughts in any longer, so I asked him if he was planning on proposing to me this weekend... he adamantly said no & to not expect anything. I was of course disappointed but decided to move on from the idea & have a great mini vacation. I completely let the idea go. The next day we went out to brunch, a local brewery, then decided to go for a walk on a beach nearby (Lady's Beach). To get to the beach the pathway goes up a small hill which descends to the beach. When we were at the top of the hill, I see Kathy with her phone out taking picture of us, Steve, a woman taking pictures with a massive camera & another man (those last two turned out to be my parents! I didn't even recognize them at first!). Sean turns to me, takes my hands & kneels down on one knee. I remember him saying "You know you’re my best friend, right?" then I kind of blackout & don't remember much of what was said after lol... of course he asked me to marry him & I said yes! That day was May 15, 2021, I met him May 30, 2015 & we are getting married May 26, 2023, 7 years going on 8 years together.
