Year she met the bride: 2002 While it's difficult to nail down the true timeline of their friendship, Ella became the bride's when she joined the Jacobsen household in 2003. Though upwards of 8 inches shorter than the bride, Ella has regularly passed for her twin. Fun fact: The bride catastrophically deviated Ella's septum with a rogue Frisbee in 2005.
Tyler Harding

Year he met the groom: 2005 Tyler was not a big fan of the groom at the start of their relationship. However, the two quickly became friends once they were no longer competing for the same position on the football field. Fun fact: Despite not being related by blood, Tyler and Sean were regularly asked if they are brothers and often confused by people due to their similar appearance.

Year she met the bride: 2008 Courtney triple-bunked their beds the first week she lived with the bride at Cornell College, leaving Kate on the bottom and scared she’d get smooshed. Their relationship rapidly improved once that was rectified. Fun fact: Courtney once got a mysterious voicemail meant for a stranger, leaving her with the permanent nickname "George."
Chris Lopez

Year he met the groom: 2009 After meeting freshman year, there continued to be opportunities for Chris and Sean to duck out of parties to sit in a quiet room and play video games when they were both feeling antisocial. Fun fact: Lopez was able to become a successful optometrist and consultant despite having surprisingly limited street smarts.
Hannah Dunn

Year she met the bride: 2011 Long before she became Mrs. Brian Dunn, Hannah filled the role of friendly extrovert in the bride and groom’s lives. Kate and Hannah's childhoods were eerily similar, leading them to be able to guess things like the other's favorite cassette tape. Fun fact: Hannah is a Test Engineer with Honeywell Aerospace. The bride and groom have forgiven her for turning down the opportunity to work on the Abrams tank engine.
Shane McNally

Year he met the groom: 2009 Shane has always been one to try to take care of the people in his circle. He spent many long days and late nights with Sean trying to help the various bumbling oafs of Cornell. Fun fact: Shane's Husky, Bella, is one of the bride's Top 5 Favorite Dogs of All Time.
Maeve Foxwood

Year she met the bride: 2002 Maeve and Kate became fast friends their freshman year at Berkeley High, bonding over a common hatred of P.E. and love of cheap pizza. Fun fact: Maeve is a self-diagnosed "stress baker," leading to the Jacobsens consuming hundreds of delicious treats over the past decades.
Vince Osborn

Year he met the groom: 2009 Vince and his family got the groom through some rough days. While living as roommates senior year, the two built a strong bond while supporting each other through both the good and the bad. Fun fact: The bride and groom once watched Vince chase down a wild rabbit in untied combat boots.
Kerstin Motsch-Reiter

Year she met the bride: 2009 Kerstin and Kate are post-natal twins who initially bonded over their overwhelming love of grimey Hip Hop and everything West Coast. Fun fact: Kerstin paid for her MS degree from Columbus State University by wrestling alligators on the side.
Brandon Tabor

Year he met the groom: 2009 No matter how often Sean and Tabor competed on the field freshman year, they were still able to push each other to improve. That competition led to a strong relationship. Fun fact: Since playing football with the groom at Cornell College, Tabor has gone on to be a cheerleader, a quidditch player, a Highland Game-er, and a semi-pro football player.

Year she met the bride: 2009 Merci appeared in the bride’s life one day in 2009 (maybe 2010) and they never looked back. Merci and Kate share a love for everything dairy, and an obsession with well-planned itineraries. Fun fact: Merci initially thought she and the bride were friends 6 to 8-months before Kate thought they were friends.
Bear Jacobsen

Year he met the bride: 1991 Year he met the groom: 2009 Bear met the bride in Switzerland in 1991. Later, Bear lived on the same floor as Sean their freshman year at Cornell College. Because of these prior relationships, Bear told the bride she wasn't allowed to date his friends when she and Sean started dating in 2010. Whoops. Fun fact: Bear once performed Ain't Too Proud To Beg for The Temptations.
