Formal Shinto Shrine Wedding Ceremony and Reception

1:45 pm - 7:15 pm

Formal Attire (No white suits/dresses please). Men please wear a conservative coloured suit (if you wear a black suit, no black ties please). Women please wear a conservative coloured formal dress, with shoulders covered and knee-length.

We will be holding a traditional Shinto wedding at Meiji Jingu Shrine in Tokyo. It will take place within the shrine grounds and follows traditional Shinto rituals. We will walk together through the shrine and into the inner sanctum for the ritual. As this is a religious ceremony, and we kindly ask guests to not speak during. Photography is not permitted during the ceremony, but allowed outside of that time. So please take some! As the ceremony is strictly scheduled, please arrive on time so you can sign into the reception. Guests who arrive late will not be permitted to enter, as well, you can not leave during the ceremony. After the ceremony we will have the reception in another building in the grounds.
