SEA is the easiest airport for both domestic and international flights. When arriving in SEA-TAC, it is either a fun ferry ride (via Bainbridge Island), or a 1.5hr drive (Down and around through Tacoma) to arrive at the Kitsap Peninsula. Most major car rental companies are connected to the SEATAC airport for easy car rental service. If you are interested in RV rentals from this airport, El Monte RV is not far from SEATAC https://www.elmonterv.com/vehicles ** When flying home, SEA offers a free "Spot Saver" to help cut down your time going through TSA. Linked here for easy access. https://www.portseattle.org/SEAspotsaver

This is a smaller airport north of Seattle. The benefit of this airport is that it is close to a RV Cruise America rental site where you and your family can rent an RV for the weekend. https://www.cruiseamerica.com/rv-rentals. Pick Washington and Everett for the state and city for service This airport is also very close to the Edmonds to Kingston ferry for another way to access the Kitsap Peninsula
Travel Note
** Ferry runs about 1x per hour. Please factor in that you may not catch the ferry you intend to and will have to wait an hour for the next ferry ** There’s a holding lot at the Seattle ferry terminal for riders with cars. Due to construction in this area, pay close attention to the signs for where to go. You’ll also want to plan to arrive even earlier if you’re driving on, to ensure you make the ferry! While aboard the Seattle to Bainbridge ferry, you’ll find comfortable seating areas, many with tables and all with beautiful views out the windows. Grab a local beer, glass of wine, or snacks from the galley to enjoy during the sailing. Be sure to head up to the upper deck for panoramic views—and the very lucky might even spot one of the local orca pods!
Travel Note
If you prefer to not take the ferry, driving down through Tacoma and around the Puget Sound is a lovely option. This will be more predictable time-wise. It is about a 1.5hr drive from the Sea-Tac airport to Heronswood Garden. There is a toll on the way back to the airport, be prepared to stop at the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and pay if using a rental vehicle. We recommend using google maps or your preferred navigation app for directions. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Sean or Corianna.

Here are some suggestions on where to stay for the weekend. Camping (Tent or RV): Kitsap Memorial State Park, or Fay Bainbridge Park Hotels on the Kitsap Peninsula: Click "View" below for suggested Hotels in Poulsbo. Other options include the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort and the The Point Casino & Hotel AirBNB / VRBO: Search for spots in Port Gamble, Kingston, Poulsbo, Bainbridge, Hansville, or Silverdale. Double check driving distances on google maps as the geographic distances can be misleading with the surrounding water. You can also stay in Seattle and take the Ferry back from Bainbridge Island after the wedding. There should be ferries at 9:45pm, 10:30pm, and Midnight. There are not great rideshare options on the island, be prepared to take a taxi if you are not renting a car.
