The Love Story

One day, two University of Colorado alums (Go Buffs!) crossed paths in the wild world of online dating. The initial sparks flew thanks to their mutual love for their adorable dogs (shoutout to Indy and Cody, even though Sean was a tad disappointed to learn Cody was actually Chelsea’s parents' pup), their passion for adventure and the outdoors, and, of course, their captivating good looks ;) But what really stopped Sean in his tracks was one of Chelsea’s profile prompts that read that pineapple on pizza is the best kind of pizza and he knew right away he had to set the record straight. Chelsea and Sean's first date was on a Wednesday, and you could say it went well. So well, in fact, that Chelsea invited Sean to a concert that Friday with her two best friends. Sean accepted without hesitation—a bit of a surprise, but boy, are they both happy he did. This date was pivotal in their relationship, as it was during that concert that they both say they fell in love. (You’ll get a hint of who the concert was during the wedding 😉) By Saturday, they were on their third, extra-long date, where they became “official” at Sean's local SF watering hole, The Horseshoe. When you know, you know, and the rest is history

The Engagement Story

Sean proposed to Chelsea in front of the Golden Gate Bridge on December 9th 2023 after 1.5 years of dating. Not only was a photographer there waiting to capture the moment, but to Chelsea's surprise so was Linda Hummel and David Gullion (Sean's parents), Kaela and Will Salisbury (Seans sister and brother-in-law) and TG and Tosha Rawlins (Chelsea's parents who flew out from the east coast to be part of the celebration). After some family pictures around San Francisco landmarks, the group went to a local favorite wine bar where, again to Chelsea's surprise, all of their best friends were waiting for a surprise engagement party. It was a night they will never forget!!

Why Park City?

Chelsea and Sean have very fond memories of Utah from growing up. Park City, specifically, holds a very special place in Chelsea’s heart. Chelsea’s grandparents had a home in Park City, where she had countless family vacations- right up until they sold it after she graduated college. Sean, on the other had, grew up skiing every year with his family right around the canyon at Snowbird. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on who you ask) for Chelsea, this is where he learned his dare devil ways =) Funny enough, both Chelsea and Sean were in Park City at the same time for the 2002 Winter Olympics! If only their paths had crossed then…(Sean was 6 at the time so probably wouldn’t have worked out) Their love for Utah and the mountains is the reason Park City was the perfect location for a celebration to remember. We hope you love it just as much as we do!
