We met on a dating app, called Coffee meets Bagel. We joke that Caty is the coffee and Sean is the Bagel and that's the reason we work. We went to a restaurant in Philadelphia called Tria, per Sean's suggestion, and we hit it off from the start.

Seattle, WA Sean planned a trip to visit one of our favorite places, Seattle, WA. Secretly, Sean had planned to pop the question with the help of Caty's friend Kameron, who lives in Seattle and studied photography at Drexel as an undergraduate. Caty was excited to head out a few days early to visit with Kameron (who managed not to spill the beans for 48+ hours). Sean had arrived later, due to a work conference. Sean, with Kameron's help, planned the proposal setting to be on top of a mountain, on a hike called Rattlesnake Ridge. Like stereotypical Seattle weather, it was a little overcast, but the forecast had called for very strong winds. Poor Sean and Kameron were trying to come up with a few Plan B options on the spot, since no one foresaw the wind being a factor. We all decided once we got there that the hike would be fun because the view would be worth it. Unfortunately for Sean, he could not have accounted for Caty getting nervous and a little scared once they reached the top because it was an open clearing with the winds only beginning to die down. Once Caty got her bearings, Sean gave Kameron the thumbs-up and he surprised Caty with "Popping the Question". Kameron photographed every second of this special moment and the stunning views of the mountains surrounding us. Immediately after Sean proposed and Caty said YES, a rainbow appeared over one of the mountains and right behind Sean. We like to believe that was a sign from Sean's Mom, looking down on us, and being with us, for that special moment in our lives.
