Cass and Sean met 10 years ago while frequenting weekend (and occasional weeknight) karaoke gatherings at Peacock Bar & Grill in Corvallis. What started as a close friendship with shared interests in all things Final Fantasy, Nintendo, Muse and beer transformed into a mutual desire to form an even deeper connection over time. Sean proposed to Cass at the place they met on June 12, 2023, cutting off a rendition of a popular karaoke song to give a surprise proposal (Cass was misled to think he might propose a day later at a Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds symphony). The ring had two googly-eyes to form a derpy smiley face. We're here today because Cass told Sean, "You used the googly-eyes, of course it's YES!"
Cass and Sean wanted to have a wedding that was small yet still ceremonious with their closest friends and family at familiar haunts. Both kept going back and forth on either extravagant weddings or the old "courthouse-then-casino elopement." Though supporting both decisions based on any couple's needs, the duo decided that "Hell, let's have a cozy ceremony at our favorite park garden and get some beers at our favorite bars" was ultimately the best Cass-and-Sean way to go.
We have had a couple of folks ask if we will have one, so we decided to create one (see top menu). We are grateful for the company alone, though still appreciate any additional generosity toward building up our ideal home as newlyweds.
