Both Brigid and Sean had heard great things about each other after Sean sat next to Brigid's brother, Connor, in the Boston Police Academy in 2016. However they didn't end up meeting until fate brought them together one night in a hopeless place... Capo basement. Brigid was bartending when Sean spotted her and eventually worked up the (liquid) courage to say hello. They went on their first date the week following and were inseparable ever since!

Sean had a magnificent plan in his head that got changed several times in the days leading up to the proposal. Forecasts got in the way, tents were ordered last minute, and the location of the proposal changed. Brigid was at the Murphy's Cape house with Sean and would not stop making a stupid friendship bracelet despite Sean begging her to walk the beach. Alas, the two embarked on their beach walk, all the while Brigid giving Sean sh*t for wanting to be outside in the blazing heat. "You're an indoor cat, why are we walking the beach. It's 90 degrees." After the beach walk, Sean had planned to propose in the dunes on the way back to the house. Their best friend, Maggie, was lurking in the bushes. Only, Maggie was about 15 yards in front of where Sean was expecting her to be. Maggie coughed, Sean grabbed Brigid and spun her around and fell to a knee. Brigid thought that Sean was having a medical emergency. The speech that Sean had so brilliantly put together and written down now escaped his memory and all that came out was, "I love you.....Marry me please?"
