We ask that you please dress comfortably for late October. Beyond that, there is no set dress code, but we won't discourage you from fancying yourselves up for the era if you want to celebrate in the 1920s dinner car!
Yes, the ceremony - in addition to the cocktail hour - will be held inside Essex Station.
No, but there is plenty of parking at Essex Station, Copper Beech Inn, and Scotch Plains Tavern. We encourage carpooling if you plan on celebrating with drinks.
Upon arrival, please park in the main parking lot (there are signs visible from the main road) and use the RR crossing to go across the tracks. There will be staff at the crossing to direct guests from there.
Yes. In an effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, we are asking that all who attend have their most up-to-date boosters. We are also encouraging all guests to please take an at-home test the morning of the wedding. We are happy to supply tests; please make note when you rsvp. Guests will not be required to wear masks but may do so if desired.
2.5 hours. We will board the train promptly at 5:00pm for a full-course dinner tour of the Connecticut River Valley. We will return to the station at 7:30pm.
The newlyweds will head to Scotch Plains Tavern for a drink or two after the reception. Please feel free to stop by!
Of course! There are plenty of wonderful places to visit and things to do in the area; it's a great place for a weekend away. Please take a look at the "Things To Do" page for some fun recommendations.
