How We Met

Study Buddies

Ariel's Story - Sean and I met at Edmonds Community College where we would study in the library together between classes. Sean asked me out to dinner at a mutual friend's family restaurant. I brought Silvia along with me to try to keep Sean in the, dare I say, friendzone (or at least I thought). The three of us became a little crew and we would hang out regularly. Sean and I would chat on Facebook and later exchanged numbers so we could text. Sean's Story - I first saw Ariel while walking to school. I remember she was wearing red lipstick. I introduced myself to her and we started hanging out at the library of the school. We went on a group date to Girasol and then I moved into her house!

The Proposal

Picture Perfect

Sean's Story - I had been thinking about proposing to Ariel for about 6 months and trying to think of the perfect way to do it. I called my sister Sara to help me out and she mentioned that a photobooth proposal might be good because of how many photobooth pictures we had on our fridge. I went out and bought her ring, planned a birthday/anniversary weekend and told Ariel to pack an overnight bag. I asked Alex for his blessing to marry his daughter, he and Sara were the only people that knew about it. The day came, I was so nervous! Ariel was taking a long time to get ready and that was making me really anxious. On the car ride there, Ariel was telling me that my new pants were really nice and touched my leg. The ring was in my pocket and I was so scared she would feel it! We got to the first stop, Third Place Books, where the photobooth was. I felt like we were on our first date again, my hands were clammy! We got to the photobooth and I didn't know how to position myself in this little box to propose, but it worked out great, and she said yes. Ariel's Story - Sean had planned a surprise birthday/anniversary weekend for us in November. After we were both ready we started heading down to Seattle, Sean told me the first surprise was to go to Third Place Books and take photo booth pictures! We got into our second pose and he took the ring out and proposed! I was shocked! I said yes and couldn't stop smiling or crying. We spent the rest of the night in downtown Seattle, had a fancy dinner, went to a movie and walked around the city. The next day I had another surprise! Sean and his parents took me out to dinner, where the rest of my family was waiting. Afterwards they surprised me again by taking me to see The Little Mermaid at the 5th Ave Theater. Me and my family cried so hard at the end and we all hugged after the show.
