How We Met...

Love at First Call

Today's way of interaction is all about social media and that is where Summer and Sean first met. He did what we call, "slid in the DMs" and it has been nothing but love since that night. They messaged back and forth for a few hours, then Sean said I want to see your face to make sure you're real. Summer said absolutely not, my hair is wrapped up. Sean's response was a FaceTime call. Fun Fact: Our first conversation lasted 6 hours and we both had to be at work at 9am... The call didnt start until well after 10pm.

The First Date

October 2019

After Summer and Sean talked every day, all day, it was finally time to see each other in person. The first date was at MOD Pizza. Summer LOVESSS pizza, and MOD has become her 2nd favorite pizza, ever. Summer was an hour late for their first date and Sean never allows her to forget it. Now, Sean is never on time for anything.

When We Fell in Love...

The Love We Never Knew We Needed...

Summer and Sean were then, and continue to be on a lifelong journey of growth. When they met they always knew that and vowed to be a supporter and partner to one another, who would hold each other accountable of continuing that growth process. When asked the question, "When did you know you were in love with your future spouse?" these were their responses: Summer - "If I'm being completely honest, it was from day one. At least that's what I felt and feel. I remember after like our second conversation, I told myself, he may really be the one. After that, I started looking for ways to discourage that thought, and he passed every test. I remember having a conversation with God, asking him to show me a specific sign and he did. And after that, he kept showing me the same sign over and over again. I was 110% sure after we had out first "fight" and I did not want to leave him. My flaws and shortcomings run very deep and Sean has been nothing but amazing in my journey of growth. This fact solidified and continues to solidify it for me. I know I am kind of all over the place, but there are so many different times that I fell deeper and deeper in love with him." Sean: "I knew I was in love with Summer when I stayed up and talked to her all night against the wishes of the other women I was entertaining. (If you know me and my story, you understand.) The whole conversation was effortless; it flowed and it felt right. Honesty was not my strongpoint, because up until that point, I had learned to accept my flaws, and it was easier to lie about them. However, with Summer it was like the truth was the only option. I couldn't lie. There was no logical reason or explanation as to why I trusted her with my truths. But the moment she accepted them, I knew I found a partner; although then I did not know it would blossom into this. BUT I thank God every day that it did.

Love's Journey

2019 - 2022

When Summer and Sean first met, neither of them were looking for a relationship; however God and fate had other plans. They made things official in October 2019 and things have been going upward for them both since then. When they started dating Sean had a 9a-5p but wanted nothing more than to be an entrepreneur. He stepped out on faith in 2021 and officially launched his own construction business, Prescott Home Solutions. He and Summer both share the responsibility of the business. Sean is the CEO and Head General Contractor and Summer serves as the Chief Operations Officer. Summer, being just as ambitious as Sean, is making moves professionally. Sean pushed, motivated and encouraged her to follow her heart and she did just that. In 2020, she took the LSAT exam scoring with scores that allow her law school entrance. In 2021, she received a certificate in Human Resources. And, in November 2021, Summer took on the position of a lifetime as an executive management team member for a national company in the services industry. She could not be happier in her career. Both, Summer and Sean, are blessed and continue to climb the ladder of life. They are happy that with each rung they reach towards, they have one another to keep them focused and prayerful as they strive for continued success.

The Proposal - Summer

DECEMBER 19TH 2021

We had been out all day running errands. I was very annoyed. Anyone who knows Sean and I, knows I do not like his driving. We were coming home from the running errands, (mind you this was (MID COVID) and we got on our block and he started driving my car like he was crazy. I was very irritated. We went in the house and started started going back and forth... He stopped talking and when I turned around to get my last few words in, he was smiling with all teeth showing, on one knee. I was said stop playing, and he started expressing his love. Of course, all of the anger went out of the window. I was confused as to why he wanted to take me through so many emotions... and he explained to me that he wanted to take me through a world-wind of emotions and then climax with a feeling of happiness. This is exactly how our relationship is. No matter what negative emotions we face and/or go through, we always end up happier than before, once we sort through the issues together. Sean knows I like my privacy and I do not like to be on the spot-light. He respected that and made me the happiest woman alive by proposing under circumstances with a deeper meaning.

The Proposal - Sean

DECEMBER 19TH 2021

Let the record reflect, I never really imagined how I would propose to my wife because I never thought I'd get married. Yet marriage as a subject has been a topic with us since just about our first conversation. By December of 2020 Summer had already dropped hints like Lil' Wayne was dropping hits in the mid 2000's. I already knew her preferred style of ring, the only task I really had was to figure out the best way to pop the question. I was seeing all the cool, creative things that people were doing online especially since COVID had everybody on the porch and I couldn't come up with anything. Anybody who knows Summer, knows that she is easily annoyed. Up until this point we had already had many arguments and my stance was and is "Life is short and if whatever you're arguing about isn't serious enough to break up over, it isn't worth the time." It was a Saturday, we had last minute Christmas shopping and off the muscle of us going out on a perfectly good Saturday when we could be in the house bingeing our favorite shows was enough to put her in a mood. I purposely started to pick at her to get her agitated. Driving too fast, driving too slow, hitting all the little buttons that I've learned to look for as a younger brother, and the ones I've learned to defend against as an older. By the time we got in the house she was so mad I just knew she was ready to be done with me. After locking the door I touched her and she pulled away from me and I knew the time was ripe. As she turned to hang her purse on the hook I got on bended knee and when she turned around her scowl turned into the biggest, brightest most perfect smile ever. When I saw that I had no doubt in my mind that I was making the right decision and that she was the one. She went from 10 to 0. I then stressed to her that, that ability was going to be needed to be married, because regardless of what happens, we both have to be able to always remember the love we have for each other.
