July 27, 2017, Ann's 37th Birthday, was a rough day for Ann. She had taken the kids to the movies and was feeling sick by the time the movie ended. She went home and was too sick to do anything but snuggle in bed with the kids and watch movies. It was exactly 10 years from the day Paul had told her he was planning on marrying her. She was feeling heart sick and lonely. In tears she cried to Paul and to God that she was overwhelmed. She begged that they send her someone to talk to. To help bring color back into her life. The next day they did just that... Sean was on his way back from camping in the Trinity Alps with his Grandparents. While waiting to board his flight back to Nashville he got on to eharmony and saw Ann's profile. An older Catholic widow with 4 kids? Not what he was looking for but she was Catholic, had gone to Franciscan University and only lived a little over an hour away from him. He was intrigued. It began with a few late night messages while he was on his lunch break and just after she had gotten her kids in bed and it turned into hours upon hours of phone conversations. She shared her many (MANY) stories and he spent his nights listening and sharing his own thoughts and experiences as he drove his brown tractor trailer from Nashville to Knoxville and back again every night. They decided to meet for mass one Saturday night in August. First Impression: He liked her minivan. She liked his truck. They got out of their vehicles and they could feel sparks in the air. They quickly exchanged niceties and then went to see Jesus. It was the perfect beginning. After dinner at a Greek restaurant, they wandered to the Franklin town square where a Beatles cover band was performing. They began to realize their shared love for music. Neither one of them was ready for the night to end, so they hopped in Sean's truck and drove around Nashville talking. Ann loved the way he smiled. Sean loved the sparkle in her eyes.
