I was invited to a friend of a friend's birthday, It ended up being Malcolm's 20th birthday. After being awkwardly introduced, we really didn't talk the rest of the night till my friend and I went to leave - Malcolm left his friends to make sure that I had a safe way to get home and gave me his number to make sure that we did. That's when I knew he was different than the rest.
This time it was my 25th birthday. We didn't really have anything planned for it (or so i thought). He took me shopping for my birthday presents, and had dinner at Columbia, he was on his phone the whole time... Between being on his phone my whole birthday dinner and rushing the waiter - I was not in the best of moods. Once we were done with dinner we hurriedly go to our favorite beach bar Tropics because he "wanted to see the sunset" When we get there he bee lines to the water (it was sunset at this point) and said he wanted a birthday picture - I was over the day at this point, and so upset from being rushed and ignored. He kept asking where we should take the picture (as if i cared about a picture at this point), he points to walk one way and he doesn't move, I turn around and he's on his knee, with the biggest smile on his face... Come to find out he was on his phone making sure that the photographers were in place to shoot the whole thing.
