We met the summer between 6th & 7th grade on a mission trip to Orlando, FL. Neither of us remember exactly how we met, but we remember spending all our free time on the trip talking & laughing. We became close friends in 8th grade & were "an unofficial thing" for a couple of years until we "ended" whatever we were sophomore year of high school. Flash forward to the end of junior year, during our friend group's Fake Prom, where Griffin asked me to dance (ironic because neither of us like to dance). Griffin *officially* asked me to be his girlfriend on July 3, 2016, & the rest is history!

We had spent the day exploring Lake Griffin State Park (cheesy, I know) & I thought we were heading home so I could get ready to go to the movies with my mom. I found out Griffin had cancelled those plans and we were actually going to Disney Springs to see the Christmas Tree Trail (Griffin broke his "no Christmas before Thanksgiving" rule!). While looking at the different trees, we stopped in front of the Star Wars tree & Griffin asked a stranger to take our picture. After taking the picture, he then asked the stranger to start recording & proceeded to get down on one knee & popped the question, to which I said "uh, yes!"
