Maymont
Maymont is a gorgeous 100-acre historic estate and park in the heart of Richmond. Take a nature walk, visit the petting zoo and farm, and make sure to check out the Italian and Japanese gardens! No tickets required.
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
An amazing place to spend a few hours. General admission is free.
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Over 50 acres of beautiful gardens and botanical displays. Daily admission 9am-5pm. Admission fees are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors/military/first responders, $10 for youth (4-12), and children (3 and under) get in for free!
James River Park System
A series of parks and trails along the James River. Our personal favorites are Belle Isle and Pony Pasture. Check out the website to pick your destination!
Carytown
A walkable stretch of Cary Street with shopping, dining, and entertainment. Catch a movie at the historic Byrd Theatre, grab some pizza at Zorch, and make sure to visit our favorite local bookstore Shelf Life.
Church Hill
Richmond’s oldest residential neighborhood and home to several historic sites, including St. John’s Church, where Patrick Henry gave his “give me liberty, or give me death” speech in 1775. Also home to Libby Hill Park, which has the best views of the city skyline (where we took our engagement pictures)!
Scott's Addition Historic District
Richmond’s craft beverage district. Super close to our wedding venue and home to the Hofheimer rooftop bar.
Proper Pie Co.
Locally-famous bakery serving a rotating menu of savory and sweet New Zealand-style hand pies. Located in historic Church Hill neighborhood.
Stella's
One of our favorites in Richmond. Sit down for authentic Greek Cuisine at its flagship restaurant, or visit Stella’s Grocery (7 locations) for gourmet take-out and prepared foods.

The best ice cream in town. Chloe’s favorite flavor is “Just Ask” and Keaton’s is salted caramel.

Homemade dessert café. We highly recommend the salted caramel chocolate cake, oatmeal cream pies, and peanut butter pie. Serving savory bites as well.
Chewy's Bagels
Home to the best rosemary sea salt bagel. Located in Carytown. Sells out fast!

Modern Jewish restaurant and deli. Excellent breakfast and lunch!
