Can I smoke or use marijuana at the venue?

Answer

While marijuana is legal in Colorado, Blackstone Rivers Ranch has a strict no-use policy for all forms, including smoking, vaping, and edibles — both on the venue grounds and in guest accommodations. We kindly ask all guests to respect this policy so we can enjoy the day without any hiccups.

What’s the weather like in early October?

Answer

October in Colorado is cool and crisp, with daytime temps in the 50s–70s°F and chilly evenings in the 30s–40s°F. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a warm jacket, especially for the evening festivities.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is formal. Think suits and ties, cocktail or evening dresses, or other dressy attire. The venue has both gravel and paved pathways, so for the ladies — most heels will be perfectly fine, but we suggest avoiding stilettos just in case.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The entire ceremony will be outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of fall in the Colorado mountains. To keep everyone cozy, there will be plenty of heaters throughout the venue, a fireplace, and heaters inside the reception tent for dinner and dancing.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the night.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

We will provide shuttles to and from the wedding from the hotel that we will have a block of rooms at. Keep in mind that ride shares may be limited in mountain areas, so booking a rental car or coordinating with friends is recommended.
