Ryan and I met at a little bar in Centerburg, Ohio. I remember eating dinner with Ryan's sister, Erika, when Ryan walked into the bar. I looked at her and said, "That guy is really cute!" Erika then responded with, "That's my brother!" I, of course, was mortified and was incredibly awkward during that interaction. Fast-forward a couple months...I was playing a gig at that same little bar when Ryan and I talked for the first time one-on-one. He was actually giving me dating advice and tips on how to talk to guys. Little did he know, he was giving me tips on how to talk to him! During the summer of 2020, we hung out practically every single day before he finally asked me to be his girlfriend on August 30, 2020. Neither one of us thought that our relationship would blossom into what it is today, but I, for one, am so glad it did. Since day one, I have pictured our entire lives together and cannot imagine my life without him.
