We met at Georgia Perimeter College in summer school. We had Pre-Calculus with Mr. Fulk. One day, we were leaving class and I was speeding through the door to leave campus. Carelessly failing to hold the door, Taylor, who was on crutches, was hit by the door. I was so embarrassed that I let the door hit him and he surely wasn’t pleased, I promised to open the door for him the rest of the semester...... never knew that would lead to 6 years of dating!
While celebrating the upcoming arrival of our beautiful son, Carter. Unbeknownst to me, Taylor had a brewing surprise that he held on to for a month. After opening and displaying Carter’s gifts to our guests, Taylor states “Thank you everyone for all the gifts but there’s one more gift to give and that is....” and in front of everyone screaming, he gets on one knee and proposes to my overwhelmed, crying, mascara-smeared, pregnant self. Through all the tears, I obviously said “Yes”!!
We became a party of three when we welcomed our son, Carter Lamar Scott on January 8, 2020 at 2:20pm. This was one of the most overwhelming, greatest milestone in our relationship. It’s a wrap! It’s official! We are tied for life.... Now it’s time to tie the knot!
