Started dating: 1/5/16 Engaged: 8/19/18 Getting married: Summer 2021! Zach and I met at the perfect times in our life. I had just moved to Denver from Tennessee and was living in a house with 3 roommates. Zach was good friends with one of my roommates Haley so once she moved in, he started coming over. I can recall the first morning we met, it was November of 2015 and my roommate Kim and I had just woken up and were sitting on the couch talking and in walked Zach quickly stopping by to grab something ... I was immediately attracted to him and we locked eyes, I felt like time stopped in it’s tracks. We exchanged quick hellos and as soon as he walked out my roommate Kim said, "What was that!" we both laughed because she had picked up on Zach and I's instant connection. Love at first sight? Maybe! He was all I could think about after that quick casual meeting. He ended up coming over to our house again later that week for a party and we exchanged numbers. I wanted to know who he was, what he was interested in, and go do something fun with him because he was cute and made me laugh. I would later find out he is also very adventurous, smart, witty, down to earth and we share so many similar interest and goals. Our first date was at Sancho's Broken Arrow, a Grateful Dead themed bar where we shared stories, laughed, drank, danced it was a great first date! Zach asked me to be his girlfriend January 5th 2016. We moved in together a few short months after and the rest is history! Since then we have been building a life together and we are both very excited to make this lifetime commitment and become husband and wife! -Brooke Scott
Back in August of 2018, Zach and I went on vacation to Mexico. We visited Cancun, Playa del Carmen and finally Tulum, where Zach popped the question! Zach proposed in the most beautiful, thoughtful, and epic way! We had talked about how we wanted to get some good pictures from our vacation, maybe even professional pictures, so I was not shocked when he hired a photographer and planned a day for a little photoshoot. We drove from where we were staying in Tulum down a long dirt road in the jungle. Little did I know Zach had rented out a private cenote so we had the entire space to ourselves! We walked down to the opening of the cenote where he got down on one knee, said a few sweet words and asked me to be his forever! About two minutes after the proposal, Zach made his way up the the top of the cenote and made a shout of excitement and jumped in! He convinced me to jump in with him (dress and all) and we swam around in the crystal clear water for a while and checked out the garra rufa that were nibbling on our toes. We ended the evening eating at the most amazing treehouse restaurant, Kin Toh. It was such a beautiful, unforgettable day with the man I love.
