Question

How has COVID-19 impacted the wedding plan?

Answer

The health and safety of you - our families and friends - have been at the forefront of all the decisions we have, and will continue to make, for the wedding. This is why we postponed the wedding twice! Finally, we are confident we can have the wedding safely based on the following: 1) To reduce risk, and increase peace of mind for everyone, we expect all eligible guests in attendance to be fully vaccinated. 2) We want to assure everyone that we intend to follow any health guidelines that are in place in late July. 3) Our venue is a fully outdoor ranch with an open barn, which is a safer environment than an indoor setting. There will be hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue. 4) Due to the vaccine efforts, case numbers are continually declining in the state of California. As long as case numbers stay low, the state is planning to "open up" on June 15th. We understand that the COVID situation could change, and we will update everyone if there are any further developments.

Question

What about children who are not eligible to be vaccinated? Are they still invited?

Answer

Yes! They are still invited! We expect eligible guests to be fully vaccinated prior to the wedding. We understand for ineligible children and guests with some underlying medical conditions this may not be possible by the wedding date. To reduce risk to those guests, we will be mindful of how we seat parties with unvaccinated individuals, and will try to not seat multiple unvaccinated individuals at the same table. To do this, we would like to know your party's vaccination status when you RSVP.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP using the RSVP link on Zola by June 12th, 2021. To find your RSVP, you will need to enter your name as addressed on the invitation envelope. If you have trouble RSVPing, please reach out to us via phone or email.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear dressy casual attire. Cowboy boots welcome! It could be chilly at night at the ranch, so you may want to bring a sweater. The ranch is pretty flat, but there are different surfaces that may not be great for super high heels.

Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

The venue is a ranch with an open barn and is an all outdoor venue. The ranch is pretty flat, but there are different surfaces. We hope we have lovely weather, but it may be warm during the afternoon and a little chilly at night. Check it out: https://www.sweetpeabarnweddings.com/

Question

Do I need to pick a dinner option?

Answer

No. We will be having a Texas BBQ buffet! There will be smoked brisket and BBQ smoked chicken. If you don't eat meat, don't worry, there will be plenty of meat-free options.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking at the venue.

Question

Does Uber or Lyft go to the venue?

Answer

Yes! Uber and Lyft can be used to travel to/from the venue.

Question

Will there be cell reception or free wifi?

Answer

Service is spotty (we are in the Angeles National Forest mountains), but there will be free wifi available in the barn.

Question

What is there to do in the L.A. area?

Answer

There are TONS of good restaurants and bars to try out throughout the greater L.A. area. Downtown Los Angeles also offers lots of museums to explore. If you prefer outdoors activities, there are lots of great hiking options and beaches to visit, or you can visit Universal Studios, Legoland, Disneyland & California Adventures.
