Our 3rd and hopefully final and the day for our wedding will be Sunday, August 15th 2021 with the ceremony beginning at 2:30 PM at St. Boniface. A hotel block of rooms will once again be reserved at the Double Tree by Hilton downtown St. Paul. We cannot tell you how much we appreciate the love, support, and flexibility during this time. Ryan had been working a ton of overtime and was offered Wednesday, February 20th, 2019 off from work. At about 10 PM on Tuesday, February 19th, Abby got a call saying that school was cancelled and she had a snow day!! Right then, Ryan knew that it was going to be the day that he proposed to Abby. The two of them, living in the North Loop of Minneapolis at the time, got up worked out in their apartment building, put on their winter boots and walked in the snow downtown to one of their favorite breakfast spots- The Hen House. After that they decided to play tourists in their own city. They walked around, played cards, had a snowball fight, and checked out some new establishments. During their walk, the talk of being engaged came up, Abby said to Ryan "You know you can't just go to the jewelry store and pick out a ring and bring it home that day, right", Ryan replied with "Oh, you can't". Little did Abby know Ryan had the ring in his jacket that day. The two of them ate dinner at JL Beers, which is where they first met. On their way home they walked the Stone Arch Bridge. It was about 7 PM, they were the only ones on the bridge, the snow was falling and Ryan told Abby that he loved her and asked her to marry him. Abby was completely shocked and before saying yes she screamed in excitement and began to ask many questions: You had the ring, since when? Does my dad know? Who else knows? Ryan completely surprised Abby, she could not have been happier and said "Yes!". It was the BEST snow day EVER!
