They say the best relationships start as best friends; the story of love between Ashley and Zac is a perfect picture of that. Ashley and Zac's story started around 2015 during their time at Francis Marion University (FMU). The lucky couple took a prerequisite course for nursing school and instantly hit it off. During their time at FMU, the two were nearly one and the same... they were study buddies, lunch dates for each other, and best friends. Despite not being in a relationship during their undergraduate degrees, the two stayed best friends after graduation. They frequently would have coffee and dinner dates, especially at Victor's, even with their busy schedules with work and graduate school. Ashley went on to finish her nurse practitioner degree and Zac completed his nurse anesthesia program. Looking back, both of them were scared to "pop" that friendship bubble, but Zac eventually did. They started out giving the relationship world a try and instantly fell madly in love. They became inseparable. On December 28, 2025 Zac surprised Ashely with a trip to Asheville to visit the Biltmore Estate. Ashley desperately wanted to visit the estate, especially at Christmas. On the first day of their trip Zac surprised her by getting down on one knee and popping the question on the High Lawn of the Estate. The two could not be more excited to be engaged and are ready to celebrate with you and start their new life as a married couple.
