11th Hour Coffee
One of our favorite local coffee spots in Santa Cruz, known for great espresso drinks, cozy vibes, and a fun, community feel. Their Downtown location is perfect for grabbing a latte while you explore shops and restaurants nearby, and their Westside location is a great stop if you’re headed out for a Westcliff avenue walk along the coast.
Humble Sea Brewing Co.
A Santa Cruz favorite known for great craft beers (especially their foggy IPAs) and an easygoing, coastal vibe. Visit the Swift Street taproom for a laid-back beer garden and food trucks, or head to the Wharf location to enjoy a beer with ocean views right over Monterey Bay. Sante Adairius Rustic Ales
A local favorite for craft beer lovers, Sante Adairius is known for its unique, high-quality rustic ales, saisons, and creative small-batch brews. Their Santa Cruz taproom has a laid-back vibe and is a great spot to grab a drink and hang with friends. They also serve Bookie’s Pizza, known for its Sicilian-style pizza with a crispy edge- the perfect pairing with a cold beer.
Abbott Square Market
One of the best hangout spots in downtown Santa Cruz. It’s an outdoor food hall-style market with a bunch of local food vendors and a full bar, plus plenty of patio seating. It’s the perfect place to grab a casual bite, meet up with friends, and catch live music on the plaza.
Bantam
A local Westside favorite serving up wood-fired pizzas, seasonal dishes, and a cozy, laid-back vibe. It’s a great spot for a casual dinner with really good food, and the menu is always changing so there’s usually something new to try.

A fun, vibey spot in Santa Cruz’s Pleasure Point neighborhood serving bold, locally-inspired dishes and really good cocktails. It’s the perfect place for a lively brunch, happy hour, or dinner with friends — great food, great drinks, and an energetic atmosphere.
Pasatiempo Golf Course
A must-play for golf lovers visiting Santa Cruz, Pasatiempo is a historic 18-hole course designed by legendary architect Dr. Alister MacKenzie. Known for its strategic layout, rolling terrain, and classic California beauty, it’s widely regarded as one of the finest courses on the West Coast and welcomes public tee times. Fun fact: Pasatiempo is Nolan’s all-time favorite course, and he even worked here in his early 20s, making it an especially meaningful place for us. Other Favorite Local Golf Courses: DeLaveaga Golf Course — A scenic and fun public course nestled in the Santa Cruz hills, known for its elevation changes, ocean peeks, and classic local charm. Seascape Golf Club — A coastal favorite in Aptos with wide fairways, ocean views, and a relaxed resort feel. Pajaro Valley Golf Club — A great value public course with a welcoming vibe, flatter layout, and consistently good conditions.

A Santa Cruz classic and a must-visit while you’re in town. With oceanfront rides, the iconic Giant Dipper, arcade games, and all the nostalgic boardwalk snacks, it’s the perfect spot for a laid-back afternoon or sunset stroll by the beach. Fun for all ages and full of classic California coastal vibes.

The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park
A redwood forest just outside of Santa Cruz with miles of scenic trails winding through towering trees, peaceful creeks, and lush greenery. It’s perfect for an easy, shaded walk or a longer hike if you’re feeling adventurous, and a great way to experience the natural beauty of the area.
