Maid of Honor
Written by Bootie: Cat is my older sister. When we were younger, she convinced me that I was an alien because I had an outie belly button. I believed every word of it. She would pin me down and tickle me as I laughed until I had tears in my eyes, and she would pretend to speak a language I could not understand with her friends to drive me crazy. Through all the jokes and torment, she also became a rock in my life and a person I really looked up to. She taught me how to ride a bike, putting pillows in my pants and shirt so that it wouldn't hurt as bad when I fell. We created songs and plays together with visions of neighborhood fame. She drove me to high school and was there at every step as I became an adult. Our relationship today is much the same as it has been all along, we challenge and support each other at every turn. I'm so excited for the next part of her life journey that will be with Scott!

Written by Loobie: Catherine and Scott- Congratulations! Here is to a lifetime of love, fun, growth, and adventure together. I love you guys so much, and I am so excited to welcome such a wonderful man with such awesome hair as a brother. Catherine, you have been my older sister for as long as I have been alive and let me tell you, you are truly something very special. You have always been such a wonderful role model, motherly figure, and friend to me. You are always there when I need you, you know your values and stick to them, you make things happen and work so hard with a genuine sense of kindness for all. There are endless things to love, respect, and admire about you. I am honored to be your “mini-me” and am so grateful for our shared love for so many things; our family and friends, the water, our pets, reading, food, intellectual conversation, and a good time. I cherish all of our memories together, the good the bad and the make you laugh so hard you pee your pants, and I am so grateful to get to have you as a sister and to get to make more memories with you for the rest of our time. It is so surreal to see you enter this chapter of your life, I am so endlessly happy for you. I know you guys will always be there for each other and create a beautiful life together. The mutual values, respect for one another, and love for one another you two share is so special. I cannot wait to watch you guys continue to blossom as a couple for the rest of your lives.

Written by Mel-B: Melissa lived down the hall from Catherine freshman year at the University of South Carolina. It didn't matter if they were tailgating, getting ready for a night out in Five Points, or just hanging out in the dorms--they always had so much fun together they decided to be roommates sophomore year. Despite the fact that Melissa never cleaned her room, Catherine still agreed to be her roommate again eight years later in Charlotte, NC. Melissa still remembers when Catherine told her about Scott for the first time and can't wait to be a part of their wedding day!

Written by Bob: "I’ll never forget when Scott told me he had met someone that he thought I’d really like…well he was wrong. Because I LOVE Cat. You can just immediately tell she has a huge heart and genuinely cares about her friendships and the people in her life - and I am so blessed to be one of them. From our first double date hockey game with the boys, a rainy ghost tour in Savannah that ended in a battle with some bushes, hanging with our quarantine crew, to beach trips and countless fun times on the boat, I have so many incredible memories with this beautiful person - and I absolutely can’t wait to make another amazing one at the wedding! I’m so happy for Scott and Cat and am beyond excited to get to see where life takes them!"

Written by Feather: Cat and I met in preschool and have never looked back. I knew I couldn't live without her on the first day of Kindergarten when my support system had to go home before the school day even started because some girl stabbed her in the eye with a flower on the bus. I sobbed the entire day- sorry Mrs. Rogers. Catherine and I had a rich childhood. From the countless sleepovers filled with puzzles, Shania Twain, our signature sandwiches, and consistently rearranging the furniture (lol), to the many dance recitals and swim meets, to the Fripp trips, to the parties and crushes- we've been together for all of it. Leaving each other for college was tough, but the traditional UGA v USC football game that brought us back together in either Columbia or Athens each year was a blast, with tons of memories to last. Post-college, our defining road trip around the country reminded me that we truly are sisters, and no distance or time apart will change that. After nearly 25 years of friendship, I couldn't be more excited to celebrate my Cat marrying Scott, who received the biggest stamp of approval on Day 1. November here we come! Cheers!

Written by Em: I met Catherine at the University of South Carolina when we rushed Kappa Delta in the fall of 2012! We quickly became friends and later on roommates, and I feel honored to be one of her bridesmaids. I know I can always count on Catherine for great time no matter the activity!

Written by Parks (cousin): Catherine!! How crazy you’re getting married, it seems like just yesterday we were forcing you into the April and May plays every time we saw you. For those who don’t know what April and May plays are, you’re missing out. A cinematic masterpiece if I say so myself! You are my favorite shopping date, especially this summer when you were looking for dresses to wear to different weddings. Now it’s your own! I’m so thankful to have grown up with you as a role model. Our family vacations will always be some of my favorite memories. I am so excited for you & Scott and can’t wait to stand by you on the big day. I love you! Parker (the youngest cousin) ❤️

Written by Sid-O (cousin): Catherine! When we were younger, one of my favorite things was when you would tell people that I was your twin! Whether it’s being the oldest sister in our families, sharing a love for reading and dance, or our names being Mamaa’s password, there’s no one else I’d rather call my twin. Thanks for always being a role model I can look up to, and I’m SO happy for you & Scott and this next chapter! Congrats!!!

Written by Kay: APES - to some, that’s a monkey.. to me, that’s the class where a one-of-a-kind friendship began! Since that class in 2011 Catherine and I have experienced so much life together - from sleepovers in high school, to visiting each other in college, to being each other’s Bridesmaids - and I can’t wait to see what else life has in store for us. Cat has always been a light in my life and I am forever grateful our W last names sat us next to each other 11 years ago!
