It's a warm Spring day. Enter: Scott riding his skateboard through the student riddled outdoor walkways of UCSD. Casual casual. Coming from the opposite direction: it's Tavish walking across the plaza with some acting classmates. The group of them see a goofy cute guy on his skateboard come up and the rest of them say, "Hey Scott!" Tavish has no idea who this "Scott" is, but is very interested to be introduced. Luckily a mutual friend can read minds and says, "Hey Scott, this is Tavish." Quick hellos are exchanged, and the heart eyes began. Skip a couple bad dating choices, two undergrad degrees in subjects that we don't mention anymore, and a half year living in Los Angeles, we meet again. This time, through two of our closest friends. It starts off with Agatha. She's in a bun shop - THE bun shop - with Tavish and Gabe. (FYI Agatha and Scott are very close). They mention him for some reason and Agatha turns to Tavish and proclaims, "You guys would be good together. Yeah, I see it." The heart eyes return. Then it continues with Gabe. He offers to Scott, "Hey, want to go to Asssscat (the comedy show, people) with my roommates?" Scott enters the courtyard sporting his cozy jean jacket to see Gabe and roommate 1, Alison, also rocking their jean jackets. In comes roommate 2, Tavish, wearing her jean jacket. She hugs Scott hello. The four clad in jean slide into a booth at Denny's where the heart eyes meet across the table. Scott and Tavish have their first conversation. Throw in some more Gabe brings Scott over moments, a couple more hugs, some unintentional playing hard to get, and we land at our first date. April 21, 2017. 5 years later We're engaged, we live together in Culver City, we have a CAT, and we watch Jeopardy every evening. We now get this chance to share our storybook love with all of you 6 years and 1 day after our first date. April 22, 2023.
