FAQs

Question

How does lodging work?

Answer

The camp has both a limited number of private rooms and shared cabins. Private rooms are being prioritized for certain friends and family. If you wanted a private room but none were available when you book, please let us know and we can put you on a list in case a private room becomes available. Once you book your spot in a shared cabin, we will coordinate with you. Shared cabins will be organized by friends and family, based on your preferences, so you will not be placed in a cabin with someone you do not know. There is also an option to use RVs or sleeper vans. Please reach out to one of us for more information on this.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony & reception: Cocktail/semi-formal For the rest of the weekend, including Welcome BBQ and other meals: Semi-casual, Casual or Sports wear--up to you!! Additionally, as the camp is located in the Catskill Mountains, it will likely be chilly in the late afternoons and nights, so sweaters and jackets are recommended.

Question

Transportation?

Answer

For non-tri-state area guests, we recommend flying into Newark International Airport or Albany International Airport. From Newark, it is approximately a 2-hour drive. From Albany, it is approximately a 1.5-hour drive. Guests will need to arrange their own transportation to the camp. There is free parking on the grounds. If you plan to stay off the campgrounds, there will be no transportation provided to the campground and, because of the area, Uber availability will likely be limited. The Shandaken Inn is a 15-minute drive from the camp.

Question

Will there be a lot of walking?

Answer

The camp covers a large area and the activities that we plan on having are all over the campgrounds. Some areas of the camp have hills. However, for anyone that may have trouble walking, the camp will provide golfcart transportation to and from each activity and/or your lodging.

Question

Is there Wi-Fi and cell phone service?

Answer

Once you are within 15 minutes of the campground, the area has very limited cell phone service. On the grounds, there is also limited service. However, Wi-Fi will be freely provided in certain areas of the camp.

Question

Can I bring food and drinks?

Answer

Yes!! You are welcome to bring food and drinks (alcohol and non) onto the grounds for the weekend. If you do, it is encouraged to bring coolers. There are no "off-limit" areas of the camp for you to take food and/or drinks. We do ask that during the official ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, you not bring outside food and drinks. There is no smoking anywhere on the grounds. We also ask that you be respectful of the campground and its facilities.

Question

Can I bring my own sporting equipment?

Answer

Yes and it is encouraged! The camp does have a limited number of equipment for our use (baseball gloves and bats, tennis rackets, golf clubs, basketballs, etc.), but feel free to bring anything you'd like!
