It all began on October 23, 2015, when Scott and Reyna first met through mutual friends in high school. From the moment they crossed paths, there was an undeniable connection. Their journey together took a meaningful turn on May 14, 2016, at their Junior Prom. Amid the enchanting backdrop of the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, Scott asked Reyna to be his girlfriend. The setting was perfect, and the moment was unforgettable, especially since it happened in front of Scott’s favorite animal, the sea otter. Since that day, May 14 has held a special place in their hearts and every year they return to the Aquarium to celebrate their anniversary. As their relationship grew, so did their dreams for the future. Scott and Reyna often talked about building a life together, but agreed that Scott wouldn't propose until after Reyna graduated. True to his promise, Scott patiently waited for the right moment. In 2023, Reyna’s graduation marked the beginning of a new chapter. At the start of the year, Scott knew it was time to take the next step. He thoughtfully designed a custom engagement ring and began planning the perfect proposal. On July 15, 2023, Scott and Reyna headed to their favorite beach in Corona del Mar for what seemed like a simple sunset picnic. But Reyna was in for the surprise of her life. As they arrived, she discovered a stunning setup waiting for them: candles flickering, a bottle of champagne ready to toast, and photos capturing precious memories of their time together. It was a scene straight out of a movie. With the golden hues of the setting sun as witness, Scott got down on one knee and asked Reyna to marry him. Overcome with joy and surprise, Reyna said yes, sealing the beginning of their forever. Now, as they prepare to say “I do,” Reyna and Scott are thrilled to share their journey with all of you.
