FAQs

Have questions? Here's answers!
Question

Dress code?

Answer

Formal! We want you looking snazzy!

Question

The ceremony is outside? In November? What if it's cold?

Answer

We are planning to have the ceremony outside in the garden as long as its not TOO cold or raining so bring a wrap or jacket! What with global warming, it could be 50º it could be 70º who knows! If it is raining or too cold there is an indoor plan B at the venue and we will make that call the day before :)

Question

I heard there is some kind of museum there? What's that about?

Answer

Yes there is! The College of Physicians of Philadelphia houses the Mütter Museum which is a museum of medical oddities (yes that means human body parts!) The museum will be open during cocktail hour if you'd like to check it out. Please be aware that the museum's collection may not be for everyone, so while you MAY check it out, do not feel like you MUST. Feel free to look at their website for more information on their exhibits: https://muttermuseum.org/about/overview

Question

A portrait photographer?!

Answer

We will have the very talented photographer Jajhira Herbert and her mini portrait studio! Why? Because what would you rather have? Another wedding tchotchke or a professional portrait of yourself (or you and your date) in all your finery? Check out Jajhira's work: https://www.jajhiraphotography.com/mini-portrait-studio

Question

What's the deal with transportation for this shindig?

Answer

Your best bet in the city is definitely Ubers, walking, or public transportation. I would not recommend bringing a car unless you are cool with paying for parking which can get very expensive very fast. If you are staying at the Sofitel Philadelphia, the venue is only a 10 minute walk or a 5 minute drive away so an Uber or Lyft will be your best option and are always very accessible in the city.

Question

6 o'clock is kinda late for a wedding, no?

Answer

The College of Physicians and the Mütter are both open that day so we cannot set up until after they close to the public, but the good news is we have the space until midnight! So get ready to dance the night away!

Question

Can my kids come?

Answer

We love your kids but we want to party with YOU! Take the night off and leave the little ones at home! Get ready for the best adults-only wedding ever!

For all the days along the way
