It was Scott's first day at Chubb Insurance. Monique, a Chubb employee on a different team, heard about Scott’s first day and wanted a free lunch. So, when Scott's boss gathered her team to take Scott to his welcome lunch, Monique solicited an invite. At that point, all Scott knew was that Monique was pretty...and hungry. He needed more. Months later, an employee on Scott's team was unable to shadow Scott at a mediation. Suddenly, Scott had the best idea of his life. He invited Monique to shadow him in romantic Cherry Hill, NJ. Monique accepted the invitation. The trip went well! Scott and Monique saw the Liberty Bell and went to a Phillies baseball game. Shortly after their return to Atlanta, Scott and Monique went on their first official date to a happy hour on May 3, 2017. They spent 7 hours talking! One might say they shut the bar down. It was easily the best first date of their lives.

It was Scott and Monique's first day in Lisbon, Portugal and, not coincidentally, the 2nd anniversary of their first date. They had dinner plans that evening, but Scott told Monique that he wanted to make a romantic pit-stop beforehand to watch the sunset. Upon arriving at the beautiful Belem Tower (located on the bank of the Tagus River), Scott asked Monique to dance and played "their song" on a portable speaker. Scott asked Monique to close her eyes so that he could give her an anniversary gift. When Monique opened her eyes, she saw Scott down on one knee. Emotions overshadow the actual words that were said, but it was a perfect moment. Scott asked the ultimate question. Monique’s answer was a definitive, "Yes!"
